The Crib is a glorious gay club. everyone 18-20 in San Francisco should be there. Thursdays. my feet and head still hurt. love it. stolen from Molly Knight, blogger extraordinaire. 5 favorite artists, 10 favorite songs by them and favorite album. and yes, i am going by my top 5 on last.fm because i feel like that's accurate. 1. Tori Amos oh Jesus, this is actually quite hard. Siren, Honey, Carbon, Crucify, Yes, Anastasia, Hotel, Bliss, Upside Down, Blood Roses, Cruel. Favorite album: Boys for Pele (previously Scarlet's Walk, To Venus and Back before that) 2. Tegan and Sara The Con, Where Did The Good Go, Walking With a Ghost, Knife Going In, Call It Off, Like O, Like H, Dark Come Soon, Wake Up Exhausted, You Wouldn't Like Me, Floorplan Favorite Album: The Con (though they're both very close) 3. Alanis Morissette Sympathetic Character, Not The Doctor, Tapes, Madness, Flinch, Everything, Uninvited, Can't Not, Not As We, You Oughta Know Favorite Album: I feel like it hasn't been long enough since Flavors of Entanglement came out for me to claim it as a favorite, but it is my favorite work of hers in a long time, and i tend to not really listen to her older albums unless I'm in a mood for it, but I can say the same of Pele. i will say it is (the double disk version. those are my favorites.) Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie's next in line. 4. Feist L'amour Ne Dure Pas Toujours, Let It Die, Honey Honey, Sea Lion Woman, Lover's Spit (from Broken Social Scene), My Moon, My Man, Gatekeeper, Now At Last, How My Heart Behaves, La Sirena Favorite Album: Let It Die, no competition 5. Rilo Kiley A Better Son/Daughter, Under The Blacklight, Give a Little Love, Capturing Moods, With Arms Outstretched, The Good That Wont Come Out, Silver Lining, Hail To Whatever You Found In The Sunlight That Surrounds You, A Man, Me Then Jim, and can i give a motherfucking shout out to Acid Tongue Favorite Album: The Execution of All things (Under the Blacklight second, but it didn't hold up with time as well as i thought it would) honestly, i would rank Hot Chip (7) and Goldfrapp higher. Joss Stone is number 6. whatever. |
