i am procrastinating SO hardcore. nearly breaking a sweat hardcore. i've realized that it's december tomorrow...the best of '08 music lists are a'coming! oh joy! oh glorious joy! i'm on atforumz here trying to remember what actually came out this year, cause i know last year i kept forgetting what was '07 and what was actually '06. but so far, i'm just gonna start compiling a list of releases that i own (no ranking or reviews yet), especially since i downloaded 6 or 7 CD's this past weekend, and i still don't have CSS's Donkey and...oh God, there was another one. fucking shit. anyway. Alanis Morissette Hot Chip PJ Harvey (though i have NOT been able to get through it. dear lord) Sia Coldplay Recently acquired: Goldfrapp Jenny Lewis Marnie Stern Rachael Yamagata Dido Madonna Uh Huh Her the thing is, with a lot of the CD's i've just downloaded, i'm wanting to include them on the basis that the singles that i've downloaded from music blogs have been some of my favorite jam songs. A&E, Acid Tongue, and though i've only really heard 2 Marnie Stern songs ever, i love them dearly and Ruler holds some serious weight, the Madonna singles have been bomb, Common Reaction is fantastic, and i've still got a few weeks to check out the rest of the tracks. and maybe the PJ. and i had NO idea Martina Topley Bird came out with an album this year. no clue. oh snap, never got the new Bitter:Sweet either, other than The Bomb being the Lipstick Jungle theme. those people have had more songs in more movies and television, i swear, if they can't live off that alone, i don't know what they're doing. and She & Him i couldn't download. i'm trying to think if there's any others. omg GIRL TALK. on the list for the No Diggity/Flashing Lights portion of Still Here. that is the fucking greatest shit. its just amazing. i'm still going through this list though my computer just freaked out and froze up for 10 odd minutes so i'm publishing this now and editing later. |
